What’s in a name?

As part of our merger planning efforts, we have created a non-stock nonprofit corporation. This corporation is the structure that our three Long-Term Care District Managed Care Organizations will merge into. The Articles of Incorporation for the new nonprofit corporation were filed and processed by the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions. In order for the Articles of Incorporation to be filed, the Merger Governance Committee needed to create a name for the new corporation. The Merger Governance Committee created a placeholder, or temporary, name for the organization – Community Link, Inc. This will not be the permanent name of the corporation. We will be using Community Link, Inc. to identify our organization only in instances where we need to – e.g., contracting with the State of Wisconsin, provider contracts, lease arrangements, etc. Otherwise, our intention is to use our local branding (Community Care Connections of Wisconsin, ContinuUs, and Western Wisconsin Cares) for a period of time moving forward. So while our name may look different on paper, our partnership with you remains the same. We will share more information about a permanent name for the merged organization when available. Thank you!
